Math Salad Account & Data Deletion

Math Salad provides account and privacy-request options for authorized parents, guardians, teachers, school users, and adult account holders. Student-related requests may require verification that the requester is authorized to act for that student.

Requests available

• Export or review personal data: request a copy or review of eligible personal information associated with an account.
• Close an adult account: request closure of a parent, teacher, or other adult account.
• Delete a child profile: request deletion of an eligible student profile and associated learning data.
• Privacy opt-out or consent request: request changes to optional collection or consent where applicable.

How to submit a request

Signed-in authorized users can use the Privacy & Data controls available through their Math Salad account. Choose the request type, identify the affected account or student profile, and submit the request for review.

Verification

Math Salad may verify the identity and authority of the requester before completing an irreversible request. For a child profile, this may include confirming that the requester is the parent, guardian, teacher, school representative, or administrator authorized for that student.

What happens after submission

Submitting a request does not immediately erase data. The request enters a review process so Math Salad can confirm authorization, protect the student, and determine which records are eligible for deletion or export.

Information that may be retained

Some information may be retained for a limited period when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, contractual school requirements, dispute resolution, or other legitimate recordkeeping needs. Information that is no longer required should not be retained indefinitely.

School-managed information

When a school or teacher is responsible for a student account, some requests may need to be coordinated with the school or other authorized education representative. Math Salad may direct the requester to the appropriate school contact when required.
